Southerly winds have produced wind slab on North aspects above 3000 meters. The risk of a single skier triggering avalanches within the new snow layer will increase with rising daytime temperatures.

February 1 a group skiing in Sheenmai bowl triggered a large destructive avalanche which caught, buried and killed two persons.  Lower on the slope an additional two persons were caught, one being partially buried and survived.
